I am a mother of four, an educator, parent volunteer, and businesswoman running to protect our kids, support teachers, and keep our schools focused on student success.

The Platform
Every decision Charissa makes on the board will come back to three simple commitments, the same ones printed on the door hangers she hands to neighbors across Trustee Area 4.
I will advocate for an academic program that prepares every student for success after graduation by strengthening pathways to college, trade school, military service, and entrepreneurship. I believe in academic excellence and high expectations in every subject while providing targeted support to address learning gaps. Every student deserves the opportunity, resources, and preparation to pursue a successful future, whatever path they choose.
Responsible spending that protects classroom resources, with plain-English budgets and independent audits. I will not support a tax-raising or tax-extending school bond.
Focus on the basics. Keep schools safe, disciplined, and respectful. No politics, just doing what’s best for students.
Meet Your Candidate
My name is Charissa “Chrissy” McCullough. I am a mother, educator, businesswoman, and active parent volunteer dedicated to the future of East County. My faith and love for the East County community guide my commitment to serving with integrity and compassion.
As a mom raising high school-aged children, I understand the hopes and challenges families face and the importance of keeping parents involved in their children’s education.
I believe our schools should prioritize academic excellence and student safety while preparing students for life after graduation. Whether students choose college, trade school, military service, or entrepreneurship, they deserve the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to succeed. I believe the arts, athletics, and clubs are essential to a well-rounded education.
Having navigated the IEP process, I believe students deserve the support they need, and educators deserve the training and resources to help them succeed.
I will be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars by prioritizing classroom funding and increasing transparency. I will keep the focus on academics, not political agendas, make school activities more affordable, oppose unnecessary taxes and bond measures, and uphold Title IX protections for girls’ sports.
Together, we can build safe, excellent schools where every student can learn, grow, and succeed.
